Mathea Elisabeth Höller, professionally known as Mathea, emerged onto the Austrian music scene as a captivating singer born on July 13, 1998, in Bruck an der Großglocknerstraße, Salzburg. With an enchanting voice and a flair for songwriting, Mathea has garnered widespread acclaim and chart-topping success. Biography
Mathea's musical odyssey began in the picturesque town of Bruck an der Großglocknerstraße. After completing her education, she ventured into the realm of reality TV by participating in the 6th season of "The Voice of Germany," showcasing her vocal prowess in the Sing Offs. Following this, Mathea made the move to Vienna. Balancing her life as a shoe saleswoman, she dedicated her spare moments to crafting her own musical compositions.
In October 2018, Mathea unveiled her debut single, "2x." The track marked the inception of her chart-topping journey, entering the Austrian charts in January 2019 and swiftly claiming the number one spot on the Ö3 Austria Top 40 two months later. "2x" achieved Gold and Platinum status, making waves not only in Austria but also in Germany, where it lingered in the charts for 14 weeks.
The subsequent single, "Chaos," ascended to the sixth position on the Austrian charts, securing a Platinum certification. Mathea's EP, "M1," also found its place on the charts, showcasing the artist's ability to resonate with her audience.
Spring 2020 witnessed the release of "Wollt dir nur sagen," a prelude to Mathea's debut album. The single achieved Gold status, paving the way for the album titled "M." In Austria, the album secured the fourth position, while in Germany, it made a notable entry at number 35.
Mathea's versatility extends beyond her musical talents; she established her own label, "1998," and signed a management contract with Ragucci & Boldt, joining the ranks of distinguished artists. In 2020, she received a nomination for the prestigious 1Live Krone music award in the category of "Beste Künstlerin."
Venturing onto the international stage, Mathea represented Austria in Stefan Raab's Free European Song Contest in May 2021, presenting the song "Tut mir nicht leid" and achieving a commendable seventh place.
In August 2021, Mathea released "Willst du mich," a collaboration with Mark Forster, showcasing her continual dedication to musical innovation. Her contributions also extend to Clueso's album, where the collaborative track "Der letzte Song" was unveiled in October 2021.
