No Angels, an all-female pop group hailing from Germany, was formed in 2000. Originally comprised of Nadja Benaissa, Lucy Diakovska, Sandy Mölling, Vanessa Petruo, and Jessica Wahls, the quintet rose to fame as the result of the debut season of the German adaptation of the talent series Popstars. They became one of the first television-cast acts to achieve sustainable success across Central Europe in the early 2000s.

The group's breakthrough came with the record-breaking single "Daylight in Your Eyes" and their debut album, Elle'ments, in 2001. This success marked the beginning of a series of hit records, solidifying their position as one of the most successful female band vocalists of the early decade. Boasting four number-one hits, four number-one albums, and record sales exceeding 5.0 million, No Angels secured their place as one of the most successful acts in German music history. They garnered accolades such as three ECHOs, a World Music Award, a NRJ Music Award, two Comets, a Bambi, and a Goldene Kamera.

In 2003, the members decided to part ways due to lasting exhaustion, each focusing on individual solo careers in music, theatre, television, and film. However, in 2007, four original members reunited permanently, releasing their first studio album in over four years, "Destiny" (2007). The group represented Germany at the Eurovision Song Contest 2008 in Belgrade, Serbia, finishing 23rd with their song "Disappear." A subsequent post-reunion album, "Welcome to the Dance," released in 2009, experienced commercial challenges.

In September 2010, Benaissa officially left the band for private reasons, reducing No Angels to a trio before entering another hiatus. The band reformed as a quartet in early 2021, commemorating their 2001 debut. Their sixth studio album, "20," a collection of re-recordings and new songs, was released in June 2021, marking their fourth chart-topping success.
